I got this used NM .41 Magnum Blackhawk last month (only my 3rd Ruger SA revolver), and decided to try my hand at spifing it up a bit.
- Fitted a Bisley hammer by trimming down the skirt to fit regular grip frame.
- Replaced the alloy grip frame with new "in the rough" SS grip frame, fitted & polished.
- Replaced alloy ejector rod housing with steel housing.
- Replaced factory ejector rod with a Colt "Bullseye" style rod.
- Figured Claro Walnut grips, my 1st effort at grip making (but not wood working).
Overall, it was a very fun project and I think I'm getting seriously hooked on Ruger SA's.
