Godspeed, sir. You will be missed. Looks like I'll have to re-read Lucifer's Hammer this weekend, accompanied by a suitable beverage with which to toast your memory.

It's just another thing about growing old, most of my favorite authors are gone. I used to be a big sci fi fan from my preteen years until recently when the genre isn't what it used to be. I wasn't very enamored of fantasy, hard SF was my thing. Ah well, my grandson is showing some interest in the old stories so all is not lost.

I have two copies and bought one for my Brother. One of my favorite Sci Fi novels.

Always thought it would make a great movie or mini-series.
