I have a Ruger Ranch Rifle, 195 series. I’d like to put a mount on it for a dot sight, I know they make pickitiney rails that attach to the bases used for the Ruger rings. My only concern with those is how tuff would it be to remove the bolt for field stripping? I think a better alternative if they make one would be a handguard like the original one with a built in pickatiney rail, does anyone know if such a handguard is available? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

Ultimak used to make one (no longer), but you could also use quick detach rings (made for Ruger mounts) by Alaska Arms. That should allow easy field stripping without loss of zero.
