does your dentist/doctor permit concealed carry?

Today I went to my dentist for a cleaning. He is new to me, since I only recently signed on as his patient because I was tired of driving 30 miles to get my teeth cleaned.

So, I ask him what his policy was on concealed carry in the office. He replied that he was in favor of it and carried every day himself.

I love living out here in the boonies. No big city crap out here. 8)

I never asked them. When I go to a place like that i carry a small .380 in a pocket holster. Its well concealed. Other places my normal carry would be a .45 in a IWB holster. You got to dress/arm for the occasion some times.

FWIW do to the paranoid B.S of the peoples republic of NY, my view on concealed means the only way a person should spot that I'm carrying is to do a pat down or a metal detector.

I don't ask and I don't tell... Although my G.P. doc once volunteered that he hated all the government paperwork they make him do regarding firearms and that he refuses to '...participate in the witch hunt...'.

My doctor has a "No Guns" sign. Since he is the only doctor within 30 miles, I deal with it.
My dentist has no such sign so I carry in his office.

I'm in Dallas and my dentist is close by, we talk about guns whenever I go see him, no "no guns allowed signage either."

As a dentist in a rural area of Pennsylvania I carry everyday. While the subject of guns actually does not come up very often, I do like conversing about them. The only signage I have in my office is "Please turn off your cell phones", sadly, nobody pays much attention to that either. I'd much rather be treating a patient with a concealed carry, than one with a obnoxious ringing cell phone. One makes me feel secure, the other, makes me jumpy.

And really, who needs a jumpy dentist?!

my Chiropractor went and got training AND a CCW for her little 38 cal revolver. She was worried because of a nosy neighbor who always seemed to be spying on her.

PS: YES !! She KNEW I always carried my SR9 or SR9c

My dentist is pro carry. We've had several discussions on guns and concealed carry.

My doctor is a lady, former Army doctor---she loves her 1911. My dentist? I don't tell, he hasn't asked, though he knows I was a Deputy Sheriff back in the 90's. Yep, concealed carry keeps a lot of problems at bay in my opinion.

How about adding a sign that says; "When a cell phone rings,,, I jump,,, do you want me jumping as I work on YOUR teeth? Please turn off the darn cell phones!"

Speaking to my eye doctor about how I had trouble focusing on the front sight
of my hand guns. He told me to bring on in and he would try and help. Good
guy he did help me altho the rear sight is a bit fuzzy not bad tho. ps

Here in Illinois I have yet to see a doctor's office that is NOT posted as a Gun Free Zone. I always take this under advisement. No such limitations with my dentist's office. There is a downside to carrying when going to the physician's office: when they weigh you the number is a little larger than it would be if you were unarmed.

My doctor probably carry's. He has mounted heads and game he shot hanging in the office, has his dog running greeting patents, is a pilot and motorcyclist. My chiropractor and I look at each others guns and awhile ago we arranged to have me pick him up after a long wilderness hike with my ATV. It`s Utah. He told me to fire when I got to a certain point we had agreed on. He showed up about 20 minuets later. This guy is beast! About 300 pounds of muscle and hikes and hunts the back country every chance he gets. I met him at the republican caucus a few nights ago and he started telling me about his new .44 mag S&W Mountain gun.

It would be easier to get out of a Mexican jail than it would be to get out of a Mexican grave.

I've been in Mexico twice years ago. My wife and I parked our car on the US side and rode a bus into Mexico. The first time we went we hadn't much more than crossed the border when some Mexican's started throwing rocks at the bus. My wife got excited and said "what will we do if they stop this bus?" I told her unless they've got something besides rocks then they're the ones that's in trouble!

I use the VA so don't carry there but park car in private parking lot so carry to and from. The private dentist we use is a Civil War nut and I shoot 51 Navies in SASS so he has had me bring them to the office and has even looked at the 6" STI 10mm 2011 I carry most days. He also likes the 1903 Colt Hammerless .32 ACP I carry from get up to go to bed.
