i recently bought a security six trigger, i got it today and cleaned it up. i have a problem i hope someone can help with, the spring in it is smaller than the one ruger sent me about a year ago. here are the trigger springs, the one on top is out of the trigger i bought, the bottom spring is what ruger sent me last year for my service six. did ruger send me the wrong spring or are there different spring sizes? as can be seen the spring ruger sent is larger thanks

I'm not at home right now where I could look at my Six series springs but I can tell you that Ruger did use two different types over the years. IIRC, the round spring material was in the earlier models and the square spring material was in the newer models. Either should work fine in any of the Six series guns.

the center hole is smaller in the one in that was in the trigger, but after the other one is compressed it would make it smaller but i don't know if it would be the same as the other. i just thought may be ruger sent me the wrong one, but if either will work then i'm good. thanks

Ruger did not change the trigger guard over the life of the Six series and only changed the trigger from having ribs to being smooth. The trigger spring should fit the trigger and in the trigger guard the same whether it is the round spring or the square spring, there's no modification required.
