Large scale production of urea has nothing to do with urine. It is made by combining anhydrous ammonia and carbon dioxide and at, if I recall, about 200* F. Once the reaction is completed the material is usually dehydrated and the solid residue ground into granules. Prilling is another method used to form spherical pellets.
