Deerfield handguard?

Anybody know if the plastic Deerfield hand guard is interchangeable with the Mini series.
A wood handguard would really suit it much better than the plain plastic look...

Checking in the individual owners manuals may answer your question...is the part number the same for both rifles??

I'm pretty sure the part numbers will not be the same.
This one has Ruger emblazened on the top, never seen a mini with that.

I spray painted my handguard the same color as the stock - IMO, it looked weird, sorta reminded me of a .22 Marlin 99 M-1.

Thanks for the pics and the info. I might have tried it if it was a direct bolt on...
