Dawson Precision Front Sight for Single Six

Has anybody installed one of the Dawson Precision front sights on their Single Six? I need something to pull in the light so that I can at least get some idea of where the front sight is. :(

If you have installed one, did you get the 0.125 or 0.100 width and how do you like it?

I have not heard of this brand of front sight, Sir. But I do know this. ANY front sight that "pulls" in light, or needs light upon it to be effective always shoots to different places depending on where and from which way the light is striking that front sight. This is particularly so if the front sight has a colored insert like that used by S&W on their N-frame revolvers. Those colored plastic inserts are there to SELL guns not shoot straight under all conditions. NOW, if the sight you want has a gold bead insert in a Patridge front sight like the S&W CALL bead it'll work like a million bucks under all light conditions. I've not seen anyone but S&W sell these but a good pistolsmith worth his salt can make on in no time flat; it MUST be GOLD to work correctly; worth every penny too.

Will, thanks for the reply.

Had the gun out today with the original front sight to zero it in after I took off the red dot sight (had to remove the rear sight to install the red dot). Didn't take too long to get it done but really had a hard time focusing on the front sight. Shoots to about a 1" spread at 15 yards with the CCI 40 grain solids. Way good enough for me.

I have seen a few posts that used Chuckhawk's suggested sight replacement for the Single Six and believe that this might also work. May have to see just how much it would take to put all the pieces together.
