dating serial numbers

I just got an excellent used P-93 . It seems to be or at least look like the ones from the 90's .
How can you find out how old it or any Ruger pistol is by the serial number ?
Is there a chart to go by ?
I searched on here but cant seem to find anything.

yes thanks ! Hey while on the subject of this pistol I have another question:It came with 10 rd mags . Will any high capacity mags work in it and if so what kind of P-series mags work with it ?

The correct mag for a P93 is a P18 or KP18[SS] both are factory 15 round mags. Mecgar makes a 17 round mag that will work 100% too. Ruger also made a P15 mag which can recognized by the metal floorplate. These may or may not work 100% in your P93. Congrats on the P93 BTW it is a rare gun. Is yours SS or Blued? Decock only or DAO?

Thnaks , it is a stainless De-Cock only . Thats mainly why I wanted it . These days I only see safety/decocks .
I am mainly a Glock and CZ guy but I got this to mess with and give to my son later on since I started out at 21 with a P89 .

It is a 1995 production year . Looks new and has all the papers and locks and all .

The P91 and P93 were only offered as Decock onlys or DAO, for some reason they were never offered with a manual safety. What did you have to pay for the P93?

Here is a picture of it .
Not too bad for a 1995 model . First owner put 30 rds through it and next put 30 through it too . It hardly has any marks on the outside of the barrel .
I traded my MKIII for it . The internals are mint and excellent , heck the whole pistol is excellent . Inside and out .
