I'm talking about the 8 part series that I watched on Hulu, not the 1981 movie. I was leery of this series, having so much respect for the original movie and thought this might be a cheapie sequel or something. But I found it very worth watching. A good story, or really two stories going on simultaneously, and hopefully leading to another season. Warning: at least one scene of a gang rape that some might find too disturbing to watch.

I liked the movie, but wasn’t aware of the miniseries. I’ll have to look for it. Thanks for mentioning.

I'll have to check it out... one of my favorite movies and had mentioned it to a guy from Germany a few years back and he said the book was much better and I got the book and read it... damn... and realize the book is basically an auto-biography written by the sub's captain....
