Dangerously high cholesterol

FWIW, I think chiropracty is a scam. The entire basis for their "medical practice" is just mumbo jumbo with no scientific basis whatsoever. But to the layperson it sounds almost reasonable, that the nervous system can be manipulated by massage and that corrects any and all problems in the body. Good chiropractic care is really just a form of physical therapy. Years ago chiropractors talked about the "subluxations" that controlled everything, but it seems that they no longer use that term as no one could ever document that even exist. But being a chiropractor can be a good way to make a living as your "patients" need to come back regularly forever for their "adjustments" and that brings the money in.

Here is a teenage boy who hasn't been able to stand up straight for years. He hurt his back while pulling on a tree root.
He visited a internationally known chiropractor, who, after many sessions, was able to make the boy whole again.

A few like my dad as a life long machinist relied on every so often it to function from constantly standing up and bending down to retrieve metal and I'm sure there are many others who really get relief from it.

In general though I think some get "fixed" by the placebo effect and the Chiropractor's MO in life is to get many many repeat visitors.

Medical doctors do the same. Need to come back to get those insurance paid office visits and scripts.
