Thinking of getting a ruger Rimfire DA/SA revolver, I have a super wrangler SA and love it, any suggestions?

The LCRx in .22 would be an excellent choice. I use mine to burn up all the cheap ammo that my semi autos won't feed. The trigger is really nice, too, for a stock factory trigger.

I have these 3 ruger rimfires. The lcrx is a 22 rimfire magnum because they don't make the lcr snubnose in 22lr with a hammer. I also have a snubnose lcr in 22lr double action only and it is my favorite.

I rented a DAO .22LCR a few years ago and liked it. It's the only DA Ruger rimfire revolver I've tried, so I can't compare it to the larger frames. I've read some reviews that complained about the trigger pull being heavy, but I thought it was fine. My hands are not particularly strong, but they're not small (I wear size L gloves from the hardware store) and I don't have any grip problems like arthritis or tendonitis, so YMMV.

I shot it at a rectangular Fairbairn type target and got 8 shots in 5.8 seconds in about a 4.5" or 5" group at 7 yards, and at a smaller target at 10 yards with considerably worse results in slow fire. For comparison, I shot a 6" K22 also and did worse in rapid fire but MUCH better in slow fire (shot the K22 SA in slow fire, though).

I've wanted one since, but not badly enough to bother buying it, yet. My adult kid is finally considering getting a pistol of some kind. If she decides on a revolver, I'll probably buy an LCR also for practicing with less bang and kick. Nothing like .22s to train the mechanics without aggravating a flinch.

I wouldn't want a snubby with an exposed hammer spur since I consider the big advantage of a DA snubbie to be that you can fire from a coat pocket without even drawing, and the hammer spur is a snagging hazard if you do need to draw. Massad Ayoob has another point in favor of DAO, a legal one:

WOW, that goes against most of the logic of firing AIMED shots. IMHO, that's for TV/movie use only.
