It is my understanding that OTA recording is going copy protected and DVRs will not work. I may be wrong. We dropped Spectrum which charged for 3 boxes. a wifi which sucked, and $15 extra for local channels. Half the time the DVR didn't work. And when it did you couldn't watch a recording in another room, only the room the DVR was in (we at one time had whole house TV but Spectrum dropped that). We especially wanted to DVR the local news. YoutubeTV allows us to record anything with an excellent DVR, no charge for local channels and recorded shows are kept for many months. We use a Roku on each TV except for one that we used a firestick. YoutubeTV gives a 1 month free easy cancel if you don't like. It isn't perfect, but better than cable. You need a good wifi, usually not the one from your internet provider. We use TP Link mesh which gives whole house coverage for us.
