Neat pic! we're havin' a grasshopper plague up in Northern California, and you'd be surprised at the birds that go out of their way to get them little "popcorn shrimp"!
I especially like seeing a bunch of little wild turkey chicklets doing a hopper roundup--lots of hoppin' and scamperin' Chukars and quail are fun to watch, too.
Hoppers are a good high protein start to growing young birds. Not so great for farmers, tho.
