Curious scope ..... what's it fit?

This rifle (?) scope was included in a batch of items I recently acquired. Never seen one with these brackets or mounts molded right into the body of the scope.

Other markings on the scope say "K. Kahles" with "Wien" under that and another mark of "Helia-Super +".

None of the rifles have a corresponding mount or receptacle for what's mounted on the scope tube.

Any idea what it fits?

It's got claw mounts on it so belongs usually on a high end German or Austrian rifle. The scope was made in Vienna.

It's a good/valuable scope.

If you want to make use of it, claw mount bases are available that fit more modern rifles than pre-WWII Mausers/Mannlichers/etc, from the likes of New England Custom Guns (NECG) - the same folks who make a clip-on (rib) peepsight for the Ruger #1. (google)

I'm thinking he had an older triple from Germany and maybe a German made Weatherby too. I need to ask more questions from the previous owner for sure.

Yeah, I'm seeing now these are expensive property. I may shoot an email to the company for more info too.

I searched Google and didn't see that one. Ya learn something every day.

I shot an email to the company too. If the internet info is correct they're sold thru Swarovski based in Rhode Island now.

Edit to add: This morning I spoke with a nice lady at Swarovski. She took the info printed on the scope and will contact the folks in Vienna for info. Very nice for such a large company to have actual humans answer the phone!

I live just across a small river from the Swarovski Plant, & my Son works at the large Ford dealership next door to it. (maybe a mile by road from my home)

They're great folks to deal with.
