Computer Service Contracts

I swear! You don't hear me cussing right now, but it's every dirty word I know. Two years ago, I bought a new computer. Well, 2 years and 2 months ago I bought a new computer, a Dell. It worked for a week, then died. I returned it, got my money back and bought another dell 2 years and 1 month ago.

I also bought the 2 year all everything bad service contract. It ran fine for two years, so I didn't extend it. This was the fastest computer I could buy at the time. i-9 processor, 10 core, 64 GB Ram with a huge graphics card. All this means is it's just screaming fast.

It just crashed...for the very first time actually. I got it restarted, but now my trust is shaken.

Two years ago, my wife's company switched to Apple. She is very happy with her computer.

I promise this will be my very last Dell computer.

This actually happened to me before. I had a Dell, just an average computer. One month after the service contract was up, 13 months, it had a critical hard drive failure and became a heavy boat anchor.

Ok, now to back up my files in case THAT happens.
