We all see ads on Facebook and other social media (unless we never use any social media websites), often by companies we have never bought from. Sometimes I take a chance on something that looks interesting. So far, only once have I been "burned", i.e. I ordered something I saw advertised on Facebook and I paid via PayPal and nothing has ever arrived, despite several emails to the company. Just a warning, beware of ordering from a company called "EL Corporation" or "Thrifthill", located in China.

My daughter had a similar thing happen last year. After googling the company she figured out it was a scam. Do a little research first and you should have a good idea if it’s legit.

I try not to order anything from a company I’ve not heard of in the past.

I contacted PayPal and they said they could do nothing for me since the payment had already been made to the vendor. I just the $24 a cost of learning to be more careful on the internet.

Check the feedback ratings on the seller before purchasing, same as Gunbroker.
