That's nice.

What's the finish on it? Is the front sight original? I've never known Colt to put a color-insert sight on a factory revolver.

The finish is what Colt termed "Coltguard", which is described as a brushed nickle finish. I actually thought it was stainless when I got it, but after further research found Colt did not make that model in stainless, but in the aforementioned Coltguard finish. Have no idea about the front sight.

Beautiful! ColtGuard is Colt's name for electroless nickel. The gold satin hue is absolutely gorgeous! If it letters, it's probably worth more than you think.

I got one also, in 'brushed nickel'. I don't shoot it much. I'm thinking of selling it. Nice gun but the cylinder rotates the wrong way and the rifling is backwards too. Who taught Colt how to make guns anyway? :D :D

That's a beauty gunman42782.

Is that a rosewood laminate Hogue? I have the rosewood laminate on a blued 6" Trooper III. Pretty big grip frame on those. It can be hard on little hands.
