Looks like the hedge fund managers are sinking the ship.

What was described in the blog could be used to describe a lot of companies today, and I suspect that there'll be more of the same as the banksters continue to rob our economy.

The only way I will believe that in times of record sales, a manufacturing
company can bury itself, is if it deserves it. Read that as severely mis managed.

As such, I seriously doubt the validity of the claims. Colt has been in business
for more than a few decades, and while anything CAN happen, it does not,
at least to me, say that those nasty things WILL happen.

I'd call it propaganda from anti-2A.

The fund managers will drain all the assets then sell the carcass and trademarks to increase their profits. New buyers will sink more investor money to bring it back up. Then the fund managers will buy it and start the process all over.

It seems to me that this has been going on with Colt for decades. For years the military contracts kept it going while they practically ignored the civilian market. It seems to me that I recall they had a 2 year pus long strike back in the 70's that seemed to really take them downhill.

If Colt wants to make money........ how about a full line of single actions in All Chamberings. How about quality made Pythons and Detective Specials and maybe a few Cobras. If they made the guns that made them, made them top quality and charged what the market will pay. They would do great.
Very difficult to make a profit on the AR platform with so many players in the game.

I don't think it is the manufacturing operation is the reason, but the "money managers" that are siphoning of cash. Colt is not owned by Colt, but owned and operated by "get rich quick" banker types. the "bonds" with the Colt name are some of the worse junk being traded.

That's also about the time we bagan seeing the worse GC that's ever come from the Colt factory, and about the same time that the United Autoworkers Union logo was printed onto their boxes.

IMHO, when Colt Defense LLC lost the sole rights to the M4 Carbine, that was the end. My agency recently aquired two brand new (real) M4A1 Carbines, and they were made by FNMI, in Columbia, SC.
