Major Ruger Distributor (BRS) Files for Bankruptcy

Saw this on the news yesterday (2/4/26), looks like Big Rock Sports, who was likely one of Ruger's top distributors has filed for bankruptcy in the US and Canada. Not certain how with will impact the stock price and Ruger's profitability this quarter or for the future, and how it will impact shareholders votes related to Beretta's attempts to get a seat on the Ruger Board of Directors. But not good for the industry overall.

North Carolina-based outdoor goods distributor reported roughly $83M in unsecured claims​

Big Rock Sports, LLC, a key supplier serving tens of thousands of retailers across the U.S. and abroad, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, according to court documents obtained by FOX Business.

The North Carolina–based company reported more than $100.9 million in liabilities, compared with estimated assets of between $10 million and $50 million.
