How much do you guys love what you do? Enough to stop standing on the sidelines and letting others do your work! I challenge each and everyone of you to contact your congressman and senators to let them know if they vote for the new gun control bill, you will not vote for them for re-election. If you don't belong to the NRA, join. If you have friends who don't belong to the NRA, get them to join. Donate money to the NRA. Did you know that George Soros alone can and has enough money to outspend the NRA to support his antigun agenda. We are being duped into believing that the votes are not there for this bill to pass. That is want they want us to believe, so that we will continue to do nothing. We need to stand to together and fight. Please! TG

Excellent!

Here's how to find your senators http://www.senate.gov/

And here's how to find your representatives http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

I've been using them frequently.

:) :) :)

Yep, got my hunting buddy to sign up for the special deal Life NRA Membership, and he is going to sign up his two sons as well. A lot of folks just need some gentle nudging to understand the urgency and the need.

They've got a post over on the SASS Forum (Cowboy Action) that has a website that Ruger is sponsoring, wherein you fill out your name and address and other contact info, and they send a form letter to all of your congressional representatives. I filled it out last week and have already received a response from my congressman, nothing from the Senators yet. Didn't say everything I wanted to but at least they all got something from me. Just checked it out and the link is: http://ruger.com/micros/advocacy/#, if you're interested.

My understnading is that it is more effective to write/ call them as opposed to using a web based form letter!

Depends on whom you ask.

The e-letters may not all get read, but you can bet that loading up their e-mail accounts will definitely get their attention, just as having several bags of snail mail arriving in their offices will or swamping their voice-mail systems will.

The important thing is to contact them.

Do it!

:)

I sometimes give NRA memberships as birthday presents (to the people who wouldn't be REALLY PI$$ED).........

I sometimes think we should give memberships to those who WILL be really . . . etc.

Think of all the mailing lists they'd then be on.

Just licked the envelope with a check & applications for 4 new members. 2 have been members in the past and just don't feel as strogly about it as I do. The other 2 are new shooters that I converted in the past month. All 4 will be surprised when the magazines and membership details show up in a few weeks.

No one on the side lines here all that went to the Ruger site and took action have contacted all their reps. in Washington, I have received emails back as well. good advise for all who are not already members join the NRA, take part in any local rallys you might have in your state also, invite others to go shooting that have never been etc....
