I need help on a super single six I picked up yesterday. It is super clean, in the box, with all the paper work. I don't see a scratch on it. It has been fired but I don't think over one cyl. full, and only a faint turn line. So here is the question- Do I keep it and shoot it or is it more of a collectible gun for some one. According to the serial number it was built in 1981 (68-). What is the value on it if I wanted to sell it? Thanks for the info- I just didn't want to start carrying and shooting this if it would mean more to someone else as a collector.

Carry it, holster it, enjoy it, shoot it .... that's what they were made for. Not an uncommon gun. They're ALL shooters.

Value? I'm no help there ..... maybe scan the completed auctions on some of the internet sites.

Thanks guys, that was my thoughts too but this one is like brand new. Can't wait to try it out. I have not owned a single action in years.
 
Only possible "collectible" value I see is in the serial #67101. It might have some extra value to three collectors who might want that particular number either as a match or to get a consecutive pair. But, in that case, if you take care of it , you can still shoot and enjoy it without any meaningful loss of value.
