Just picked up a new 6" blue GP from my LGS for $500. As most Ruger lovers, my collection just keeps growing.
As my collection of Rugers expands I see a trend of buying not only each type of Ruger revolver but each barrel length in each type. A slippery slope, but sure is enjoyable. Is there no cure? :D

I'm trying to get all the "Sixes"

So far, I only have a "Security Six"

Back in 1999, I tried Ruger sixguns in the form of a new Single Six. Love that gun and still have it today. For years, finances kept me on the wagon. However, a bigger than anticipated tax refund caused me to fall off in splendid fashion with a GP-100 and a Service Six!!

I've got a lot of them, all the shotguns now (except the Trap Model), and working on No. 1s. Several guys here devote their whole lives to just one model.

I started about 3 years ago, I just wanted to see what Ruger DA revolvers were all about, so I bought a 6" blue GP100. I fell in "love at first shot" and wanted one of the DA Six revolvers. I found a 4" Speed Six at a local gun shop. Now I have over 10 GP100's and about the same number of DA Six revolvers.

You could easily spend a lifetime trying to get all the variations of the Six series, also the GP100's.

I am much more of a fan of the 4" fixed sight DA Rugers........Service Sixes, Speed Sixes and fixed sight GP100's. I love 6" revolvers but unfortunately Ruger never made a DA 6" with fixed sights.

I have mainly 2 digit serial numbered Security, speed sixes in my collection along with my 3 digit numbered GPs in 3 and 4 inch stainless revolvers.

I have........ just enough to make it fun!

Please don't torture me by posting images of EARLY Single-Sixes...........

I fell in love with Single Sixes and now my savings account is in my gun safe!! I'll tell ya how bad it is; I just got back from a week long vacation to Orlando, Fl, and while I was there spending all kinds of money I kept thinkin to myself, "Man I could be buying a few nice guns with what we're spending here". Course I didn't tell the misses what I was thinkin.
