Some recent snow and ice photos.
I fish under this bridge in summer months. Nice smallmouth bass stream.

Same stream almost totally frozen over:

A lake I frequently fish in warmer months. Plenty of bass, crappie, bluegill and channel cats. Even pretty in the ice.

Smallmouth in a small stream like this are too much fun.

But I really enjoy catching the pumpkinseed sunfish too. I think, beside brook trout, the pumpkinseed are the prettiest fish in fresh water.

Nice pictures Jeff. Can't wait for warmer weather to chase some smallies. PS, I made several trips to Maine years ago to fish the Penobscot river near Howland/Lincoln area. Nice bass and on topwater, maybe one of these days I will get to make another trip up there.

32 Never fished in Maine. Hope to someday. So many beautiful places to fish and so few days and hours in our lives.

If you ever make it up in the Howland area again PM Me I am 15 minutes away.
The Penobscott is probably the best smallmouth water on the continent. 5lb fish as you
probably know are common. Jerry McKinnis had a show called the Fishing Hole, he did
a good number of them on the Penobscott.

Try them on a fly rod some day it's a real hoot. ps

PS will do. I would love to throw the canoe on the truck and grab a fishing buddy and do some out of state float trips but we usually stick close to home because we need to drive two trucks to the river to get back up to dump in spot. Floated the South Branch of the Potomac with my wife several years ago, while on vacation had no poles but looked like here would have been some good fishing. Beautiful scenery through the Trough.
