Got two really nice sets of cokes available. Both are in excellent condition and have been well cared for.
Set 1 – Beautiful wood with outstanding grain. Overall excellent shape, maybe just a touch thin on the top. $500
Set 2 – Fantastic grain and sharp, like-new checkering. There’s a small area of finish wear on the bottom that's an easy fix if you choose to address it. $525
I’ve been keeping an eye on the forums and GunBroker for years, and these are easily two of the nicest sets I’ve seen come up for sale in a long time.
Price includes shipping. First firm “I’ll take it” gets it. Please specify which set you want. Of course, I’d be happy to sell both together as well.
Payment by PayPal or Cash in hand.
I’m downsizing the collection as I head into retirement, so it’s time to let a few good pieces go. Thanks for looking.
P.S. I never owned a pre-29, so I wasn't the one who separated these beauties from their original home.
For what it’s worth, Brewster’s son once told me these were worth around $800 per pair. Maybe he was trying to help sell them, but they are certainly quality sets.
If you get them and aren't completely happy, send them back and I’ll refund your money.

Cokes are a description of the shape of the grips. Think old time coke bottle. Very desirable grips made years back for S&W N frames as can be seen by the price. That's about as much as I know about them. lol

B-P killed the cokes almost immediately but the target grips remained a pleasant and usable shape until the late '60's. After that they became an abomination and waste of wood.
Note the pics of the nice ovoid shape of the butt. This remained for a bit, although not as refined. Look at a set of 1970's Target stocks from the bottom - it's almost a rectangle with rounded corners.

No,it refers to the "palm swell" shape,slightly reminiscent of the silhouette of a coca cola bottle.

The early diamond target grips retained the size and cross section of the Cokes without the palm swell profile. They are vastly superior to the later target grips, in my view.i have them on several of my N-frame Smiths even though they aren't "period correct" for the gun. I only have one set of Cokes, they are on a 1950 Target .44 Special.

I have currently have three pre 29's... one is naked. Chasing a fourth... it has Packmyr grips... finding two sets at once is awesome! Just need to verify they are "cokes". If OP could take a pic with the sets on their base, take pic from behind... the "swell" is very evident....

Let us know how it turns out Can the OP message me? I don't want these stocks get away.... I bought three sets off the S&W Forum, sellers said they were "original" no repairs... unfortunately, all had been repaired and I had to return.
You don't meet the requirements, yet. Hopefully Admin will get it squared away, if possible.
Joined the forum... it is worth the $30. to not miss out on these... I do hope they are still available....
