Cleaning the SR9c guide rod

Any tips on cleaning and lubing the guide rod assembly on the SR9c?

I just purchased the firearm and ran 150 rounds thru it. Cleaned the rest but not sure just how much needs to be done each time with the guide rod assembly.

I don't think there is much you can do except wipe it clean with a patch or rag and then wipe again with a VERY lightly oiled patch or rag. You can't take it apart, so there's not much else you can do.

Unless you've got a shiny stainless rod replacement in there like me and a few others, I wouldn't worry about it. It's black, the residue's black....

Just don't touch it with white gloves!
