welcome to the Forum, yes a ".22 cal brush " is just that. for .22 cal and works well in the magnums,,the "bristles" are supposed to 'stand up', NOT be too long and 'lay down. helps to use a powder solvent , brass is better ,more aggresive than the nylon ones....used to be a wrapped stainless type called a "Tornado" brush years ago, they worked good we used them in the shop,,,as well as at time swrap a small amount, Chore Boy or Brass ( Bronze wool) thin amount, around the "worn" brushes.......again use the proper powder solvents.......swab out the chambers do NOT leave oil or such on the chamber except in long term storage,,, so before shooting just simply swab out the bore........
