Hi The little 250 has done its job I have the same gun but with sights mint in the back of the safe for 10 or 12 years now I'm going to have to get it out and pick off a deer with it before I get to old
Doc has some pretty nice bucks in his mounts from past pics I have seen here
My first coyote at age 9 was with a 250 Savage lever belonging to my great grandpa, shot resting on a fence post shooting out across a wheat field
That is a fine looking rifle! The .250 is my favorite centerfire rifle for deer. My brother and I inherited our Dad's Savage 99 and it goes back and forth between us regularly.
What's your scope, Doc? I can tell Leupold with A/O, but what magnification? I have a new-in-the-box .257 Roberts from 1975 on layaway. Might make a pretty decent antelope rifle. I really like the 3.5-10x Leupold A/Os on such rifles.
