radicalrod,

You lucky, lucky devil.

I envy you.

My Grandkids are: One grown to 21, and the other soon to be 18 and a year and a half ago moved away.

I used to take them fishing, shooting, kayaking, and on and on and their parents loved for us to take and keep them with us to go to wildlife places.

I miss them terribly and part of that is the age your boys are.

They're so much fun when they're little.

Happy New Year to you all!

Good looking crew Radical Rob no wonder you're such a proud grandpa, congratulations!
Before leaving for work I loaded the garage up with toys, nerf guns and bikes. I called home today via FaceTime when I arrived back in port. When I asked the 4 year old grandson what Santa brought him for Christmas he started showing me exclaiming "he brought me everything"! I'm just glad Ive been able to give them a good christmas this year. It hasn't always been so for them.

Man of man Radical, I bet the wrapping paper was a FLYIN'

Well they were just getting it figured out as they just had their first birthday Nov 26th....

Man I already have a set of consecutive numbered OGCA RED RIDER BB GUNS stashed away....

The funny thing is my son Adam asked me to let HIM buy HIS BOYS the kool stuff.....

Sure makes it tough on Grandpa....I told him when it is time for motorized toys he can buy one and I will buy the other one....I had to share with my 2 younger brothers and it wasn't always pretty....I may have to clean the carb on my 87 KX 500 in a couple of years so I can roost some dirt on these guys before they figure out they can out ride the OLD GUY......RR

I have had my 12yr old Indigo since last Friday, got his little brother Zuvuya a couple days ago. Their mom had a baby brother named Phoenix the 21st, so I am getting her some peace & quiet to get the new baby routine going. Indigo has school Wed. I wish the weather had been better so we could have done some woods time, cold is one thing, but high wind and cold, too much.
His 5yr old brother Zuvuya is pretty onery, he has had a couple of wooden spoon encounters since he has been here, I don't take any crap off of him. He gets a choice of putting his nose on the stairpost for time out or getting wooden spoon swats. Most of the time he is his own worst enemy. I actually understand much about him, I got my butt beat a considerable amount at his age.
Consistancy and routine. Being stuck inside and having old people boss you around is not much fun in the 5yr old world. I try to remember that. Thank goodness for Madagascar Penguins and Minion cartoons, I actually like watching them with him
I said something about BB guns to his brother and he said "NO WAY, I don't need him armed, he is mean enough as it is"
Amazing how much visual power a small wooden kitchen spatula wielded by a grumpy old man has on a 5yr old boy

Thanks guys....I can't wait to bring them to a RUGER SHOW with me....

The part that worries me is I will be 78 years old when they graduate High School....

I sure hope I can hold out that long    RR
