330 grain "Ruger Only" sledge hammers. These are cast and sized to .452 and are cast to 16 BHN. They are "Ruger Only" because of their length. They load out at 1.735 inches. Too long for Colt or others. Works great in Winchester 94s but not sure on Marlin. These are great in 454s. 200 for $52.00 shipped.

Well, I guess I can cast some more. The 330 grain "Ruger Only" sledge hammers will have to be cast not quite so hard. Rather tough on the equipment. They will be at 16 BHN. But I can allways do more.

Put - if you plan on casting more of the 270 SAA's, I'd be in for a box, just let me know. Thanks!

The Ruger only 330gr GC at $52.00 for 200 interest me too. Please keep me in mind and reserve 200 for me when you cast more. I can send payment in advance if you like. Please shoot me a pm. Thank you

I would be interested in a box of the 45 cal .452 270 grain Keiths also. Thank you. PM me when they are ready if you decide to make more.

Hey Put, thanks for the comeback. I was wondering how much extra they would be if you gaschecked them. I am going to be shooting them in a rifle. Let me know. Sorry for not letting you know beforehand. Jim

How fast do you think you'll be running those in your rifle? At 16 bhn, you shouldn't have any leading under 1300 or 1400 fps, assuming good bullet-to-bore fit.

I maybe wrong but those 270's won't accommodate gas checks. Right?
Either way my checks in the mail.

No the 270 SSA are not gas checked. The mold is not a gas check mold. Sounds like my next custom mold my need to be just that.

Mr. Put,
I'd be interested in a box of 300 of your 452-270-SSA Keith loads. Please let me know if you decide to cast more... Thanks

The mold is a custom mold by MiHic. It is a copy of RCBS 454-270-SSA. I was under the impression that it is 270 Grain. Your question prompted some research and I found out is really 285 grain bullet. Mine averaged 284.4 grains with no lube. I have had the mold for a few years and had forgotten about the weight difference in the name and the actual bullet. If it is a problem you are welcome to return them for a refund. It is a very good bullet and has an outstanding reputation.
