This might be of interest to some.

Think I found an easier way to do the yearly case annealing.

Often noticed that the flame on the old propane torch does not evenly spread the heat on the case. Thought about a revolving dual flame annealing machine, but the prices (US$500.00 +) held me back. Then I started to think more about it and realized what I need was a ring burner. Did some searching and found that the Woodchuck Den offers a ring burner for US$52.00 plus shipping.

Ordered one and it arrived last week. The ring with flame jets slides on the torch tip and fits over .50 and .45 calibre rifles cases with room to spare. Ignited the torch and observed the flames encircling a case in a uniform manner.

Should make annealing quicker and more effective. Now I just need to order some Tempilaq temperature indicating fluid.

Interesting! I've been wanting to get some formed 357 brass annealed. I made it into 256 Win. I may invest in one of those.
