Carrying Spare LC9 Magazines

My LC9 has become my daily carry gun. All the reasons I like it such as it is an easily pocket carried 9 mm, the single stack thin grip is sweet, and the Galloway Precision trigger kit has reduced that loooooong trigger pull don't stop me from wishing it held more than 8 rounds. Almost by definition, a truly pocketable 9 mm is not going to have a high round capacity.

My solution was to find spare mag holders that are no wider than the magazines themselves and therefore don't use a lot of real estate on my belt. Enter the kytexgear.com LC9 mag holders. And, they are only $14.95 with a short wait time (less than a week to my door).

I am able to carry two spares without ever really noticing them at all. So, now I have a total of 22 rounds available for a pocket 9 mm that disappears in the front pocket of my cargo shorts. :D

Do you conceal the magazines with a shirt? Or just wear them on your belt for all to see? I've found I can keep a spare mag in the watch pocket of my jeans.

Spare magazines in a pocket don't really do it for me. I was going to show you how I really carry them, but all you would see is this, any help? :D :

I figured as much wouldn't do much good hiding the gun and not the magazines. Thanks Ed

The leather belt sheath for a Buck 112 folder holds an LC9 mag perfectly, and has a snap strap so the mag is invisible, just looks like carying a smallish folding knife, even says "Buck" on it.

If each LC9 has a round in the chamber you will have 16 rounds, not 14. I'll stick to one pistol and two spare mags.

I am still carrying the two spares in the kytexgear mag holders and don't really notice them in my daily routine. They are very easy to carry.

Holsters, now there's a complicated subject.

I remember reading about a guy, possibly on this forum, who was buying a holster and he couldn't decide which one to get and the guy at the gun shop said he had a bucket of holsters for his own gun.

Now I can see why :)

YA I have a drawer full of ones that I use for my different guns.

I have an "everyday carry holster" and I have a "working in the yard holster" for each of my guns.

That doesn't count the "Oh let me try this holster" pile or the "I no longer have this gun" pile or the "OK lets sell these old holsters" pile.

When you have been shooting as long as I have you go through a bunch of guns  , but there are some guns that I will never go through also.

I wonder if anyone makes a paddle holster for two magazines? Seems like it would work good to just slip them under your belt or pants quickly and remove them just as quick. I've always like paddle holsters and paddle mag holsters might just be the cats meow!

Edited: I meant "paddle" instead of "pancake". Changed it

I have two style double mag holsters coming.

One open top and one with a flap over each mag.

I'll load some photo's when I get them...........
