Can SS be blued

I have on two occasions offered these two 45 Birdhead Vaqueros for a single six that I have been wanting to add to my meager single six collection. Both times the other parties has backed out because they were hoping to get original guns. My question is since these stainless steel grip frames and ejector rod housings have been fitted to these revolvers can they be blued to match the existing bluing on the guns. I was thinking about returning these to Ruger to have them put back to the way they left the factory in the first place. Not quite sure what I was thinking when I did this in the first place.

Yes, it can be blackened to match very well. We do it all the time.

Blackened is not blued.

Stainless has been blued for years. Look at the thousands of Remington 7mm rifles with stainless barrels that are blued, as well as other brands.

Why not just replace the stainless parts with blue? Probably cost more than blueing the stainless, unless you fit the grip frames yourself, but it's certainly doable.

When someone finally does get their stainless revolver blued, I hope they post pictures! I'd like to have one done but really want to see one first!

Jeff Quinn says that this blackened stainless on the bighorn armory 460 that he is testing. I know it's not a revolver, but it gives us an idea.

Joe the model 90 in the photo looks to be a matt finish. Is that just the way it turned out or is that the way it was intended.

No nothing too special, the single six was a like new stainless steel birdhead 22 Conv. I thought is was more than a fair deal but what do I know.
