Gentlemen,

I'm considering this gun. Is the price within reason?

Thanks in advance

What length barrel is that, 6 1/2 or longer? Does it have the original box (I'm assuming it doesn't). I can't help you with the price but thought that perhaps you had asked the dealer about the box. I would love a Bisley Single Six but don't want a long barrel. Not sure if they ever made them in a 4 5/8" barrel so I need to research that.

Looks like a nice gun. If you decide to purchase it I hope you win the auction.

Looks good to me. It may not be a bargain but you do not see them often. If it is what you are looking for grab it.

Ruger did make them with a shorter barrel I have one in stainless that has a 4 5/8 barrel and fixed sights.

That's a little steep considering there was a more desireable dovetail rear sight, fluted cylinder model with box and all paperwork in the classifieds for $550 shipped.

It may be a little high but they are getting harder to find. If it was something I wanted I'd buy it. I think the market will catch up soon.

Dennis.

As I'm cock-eyed ; (left eye dominate / right-handed) I wanted the adjustable sight version.

The barrel is 6.5" (which is what I wanted).

I emailed the seller yesterday, and yes, he has the box and manual for the gun. :) I too am suprised he didn't disclose in the item discription that box and manual are with the gun.

His shipping charge from Alaska to Texas is only $20.00! :)

I pulled the trigger last night, and got it for the opening bid! WOOTZ! :D  :D

Good for you. You'll love it. I picked one up last year and it is very acurate, and comfortable to shoot. Let's just say I got real lucky on the price too!! Have fun, and be careful or you'll end up with more Single Sixes than you can shoot!

Congratulations ultramag44 I am glad you purchased the one you wanted. I bought the one CraigC talked about and hoped you did not want it. Thanks CraigC

Thanks guys!

I have had a regular 6.5 blue SS for a few years, and wanted the adjustable sight Bisley SS for awhile now.

I got a .44mag Bisley 4 years ago. it's a bit rare, has a fluted cylinder! The seller only wanted $259.00 (no box or manual). I was supprised when it arrived and saw the fluted cylinder.

The fluted cylinder was only available in 1986. I don't think the dealer knew what he had.

Congratulations on your purchase. I'm left eye dominant but shoot both left handed and right handed. So the adjustable sights are great.

Congratulations! Those Bisley's can be very accurate when you have found the right load. If Paco Kelly is still making his nasty nose kits that would be the item I'd be looking at next.

When I use longer barreled Bisley gripframed revolvers I carry them in a gun rug and hunt with them like as if a rifle.k Calthrop

He got my check and the FFL on Saturday. :) Gun is in Alaska!
As soon as check clears, he will ship the Bisley! Do they clear checks electronically; and ship by air, or is all still by dog-sled?

Now the wait begins in earnest...tick-tock, tick-tock.

Actually, the wife and I took a cruise to Alaska. Beautiful country!

Congratulations! I've got a Bisley Single Six. They are very comfortable to shoot. To answer your question, checks clear electronically, as fast as overnight if not sooner. Anyway, the gun looks great!

The dealer sent me the tracking # today!
8)

Too bad it's a USPS (about worthless) tracking #. Actually, the USPS # isn't for customer tracking. It's just to show (customers) receipt, and item deliverly.
