I am converting another Single Seven to a Bisley grip frame and would like to purchase a stainless Bisley hammer if anyone has one they are not in need of.

That is where my grip frame is coming from. I don't think he has any, or at least any help wants to part with. I did put a backorder in at Midway too.

Kurt,
I thought that I had a couple , looked and could only find one of them.
This one's tag reads "Hammer Assembly, All Bisley, Bisley Vaquero Models."
If this is what your looking for pm me, also found a Bisley Single-Six trigger while I was digging.
Terry

Not sure if the OP is aware and I did not see it noted in this thread. As he is working on a Single seven he must find a hammer for a single 6/single 7 frame.
The full-sized hammer will not work.
The bad news is the smaller hammers are very hard to source and get expensive.
I believe the full-sized trigger is the same for both.

Yes, I am aware. Have had several people offer up the larger hammers. Still looking for a smaller one if anyone has one they would be willing to part with.

I tried to get one from Ruger, the said it was an ffl only item.

I’ve always gotten Ruger single action hammers through MidwayUSA. They carry a wide variety of them, but my efforts to link to them are failing. 🤬

They’re usually out of stock, but click the link”Notify Me” button to get an email notification when they come back in stock.

When you get the notification, you need to order IMMEDIATELY.

Either order it and eat the shipping, or keep other items in your shopping cart ready to go, if you’re going to try to qualify for free shipping.

I mean, order it IMMEDIATELY, as soon as you see the notification. Don’t use the restroom, get a glass of water, or let the dog out, first.

They can go back out of stock just “that fast.” You’ll probably find they’re out of stock the first couple times you get a notification. I think there are a lot of folks glued to their phones, vs. checking email once of twice a day…

I’ve purchased an assortment of Ruger hammers, this way. It’ll likely come together, eventually! 🤠

Why not have an FFL order for you then? Or am I missing something?
Terry, I just called them last week so that is probably what I am going to do. I might just order several while I am at it.

Howie, I can't find the hammer to order it on Midway. Every hammer imaginable except the single six bisley.☹️

As my father in law used to say, “You are not wrong.” 😂

I could swear that I saw it there yesterday… but it clearly isn’t there when I look, this morning! 🤬

I tried to insert a link last night, but had trouble. Now that the hammer has “disappeared,” it seems easy to explain away why I couldn’t link to it! 🤪

Still looking, if someone has one squirreled away that they might not need.

Picked these two up today.

Looking at the Ruger website, it looks like all the Bisley models are Lipsey’s exclusives, and there aren’t a lot of versions either.

Think the Bisley parts at Ruger are scarce and they’re using them to produce guns with what parts they have for Lipsey’s. Who is known for buying up guns made from leftover parts and selling them at better margins.

That’s a new one on me… I’d love to hear more about this.

I think that Lipsey’s is better known for (among other things) selling “Distributor Exclusives,” in configurations that are not otherwise catalogued models.

I mostly follow rimfires, but I’ve seen Lipsey’s offer numerous tasty examples that aren’t normally catalogued.

I would’ve guessed just the opposite- that perhaps parts left over from a special Lipsey’s “Distributor Exclusive” run might end up in Ruger stock(?)…
