BHK-4 lettered as shipping with Stags

I'm pretty stoked to get the Ruger letter on this recent acquisition. Linda at Records went the extra mile AGAIN and pulled the original shipping invoice for it and noted on the letter that it shipped with factory stags. Unfortunately, the box is not numbered to the gun but is the correct non cataloged 44 box.

Any chance anyone knows if the fiscal officer number can be deciphered to see who originally purchased this revolver?

Looks to be a PX gun, question would be did the PX Officer buy it for himself or for sale at an PX?

While the gun may not technically be a "shipped as a factory stag gripped gun," the simple fact is it was shipped WITH the grips. I'd call it a TOP LEVEL collectable piece of info to accompany a great gun.

nice gun , package and if it was actually installed at the time, there would be a service work order invoice attesting to that, ?? BUT hey back then the old man said do this ,do that and little and none got put in writing,,,to quote above.." as close as it gets...":cool::rolleyes:

Just curious........does anyone have a letter stating a gun was shipped "with factory stags"??
There are know examples shipped with Ivories, the #14 RSS shipped to Julian Hatcher comes to mind.....
Other than that, I believe this is the best we have seen?!?!??!!

Yeah, that's pretty amazing to have the stags on the same invoice, and to actually get a copy of that invoice. Especially when that's all that is on the invoice. Kudos!
