The Beretta 92D is the DAO version of the 92 FS bobbed hammer no safety no decocker. It seems they were discontinued in 1998.

Anyone know anything about these? Are they uncommon? Was there a recent run of them?

I have one but don't shoot it much. The county po-po were carrying them in the 90s because they were made in state. The last time that I checked, the blue book doesn't give it any special status.

Like all 92s, it is reliable.

I see them pop up at Buds and other places as PD trade ins once in awhile.....nothing collector value. They didn't stay in favor of LE for long and the civilian market wasn't impressed with it.

This one looks unused, it has a somewhat matte finish that absorbs oil. Not sure if it has been refinished or if it is Berettas Brunite finish?

I figured it was most likely a trade in, but it is unmarked and must have never been issued.

I’d almost rather it be scratched and dinged it would be easier to use.

Thanks for the help guys.
