This was a tough week. I went down to NM for my mothers memorial service. On the way down and it's a long way, I try to make 950 miles the first day so I can sleep in and drive the last 250 miles rested. I was driving through NM between Farmington and Albuquerque. Something hit my truck from the side turned out it was a big elk. Totaled my truck. It was a 2012 Tundra that I figured would last me the rest of my life. That was a little before 11:00 pm. Couldn't get a tow truck out until almost 4:00 in the morning. Towed it to Albuquerque and the driver was nice enough to drop me off at the hotel.
I'd been up 24 hours by then so I was going to sleep for a while. State Farm called me 5 more times about various things, like they are only responsible for towing 50 miles. I told them I'd still be in the sticks at that point. I think they finally dropped it.
Next thing is the governor of NM is brain dead and closed the churches down do no memorial service. All we could have was a little internment, which just a few people knew about. I drove the rental vehicle back to Idaho. At least the car dealers are open here, they aren't in several states. I have no idea what people are going to do it they need a vehicle. I heard a guy on the radio talking about this virus and pointed out it's over the top, when for every one person that's sick 100 have lost their job. I"m not typically a conspiracy person, but the media is working with the democrats to take down our economy. At least I'm home, and glad to be here.
