I started reading at an early. Several books made me love the outdoors, Yellow eyes among them. I just read an article on the net that there is a resurgence of interest in Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove. I read this shortly after it came out, fell in love with the book, as well as the movie. At 800+ pages, it is a bit long, but worth the read.
