So my wife's company helps to sponsor the March of Dimes walk in Dallas. Every year, a couple of her bosses get together Friday night and BBQ all night to prepare for lunch the next day after the people get through walking the coarse. I go and help out, I like her bosses and it's a lot of fun.

That was last Friday night for the walk on Saturday. We estimated 650 to 700 pounds of meat were cooked. A couple vegetarians walked away hungry.

This is the BBQ trailer one of the guys has.

And this is one of his knives. It is heavy and solid to say the least.

Poor guy actually looks scared. I think he might know what we were going to do to him.

Thanks, I actually felt a little sorry for the pig. I've been to plenty of whole pig roasts, but I still just hoped he didn't suffer. The look on his face says otherwise.

You know I take my daughter to the zoo and there are a couple pigs there, Jordan and Zoe. We talk to them and go often enough I swear Jordan remembers us. He grunts and seems happy. Pigs are pretty smart, perhaps I'm just thinking too much...

No, not really.

I eat meat and know animals are bred for that, but I also believe in the whole thing about them dying quick and no pain. The whole concept about Kobe beef in Japan being feed beer and then a massage to calm them down as they are being slaughtered. That way the body doesn't release toxins into the blood and meat. It really makes sense, if the animal is terrified as it's being put down, he isn't going to taste good, there is just no way around that.

I can appreciate your concern but i think some animals are just more expressive than others. I doubt the pig suffered.
