Bass Pro 10/22

Just bought another 10/22 at Bass Pro. Blued synthetic carbine model with a plain barrel {no sights}. It comes in a hard case with a factory mounted Veridion Eon 3x9 scope. They had them at $299.99. I plan on attending a Project Appleseed event in the future and will use this. Plus, I had almost enough Cabela's points to pay for it. I will pick it up today and see how the trigger is, but I'm sure It will need some attention.

Any 10-22 that I have ever had gets a BX trigger. It makes a good rifle even better.

I've added the BX trigger to a couple of 10/22's and it's an improvement. Doesn't make the rifle 'shoot better' but makes it easier to shoot by way of the easier to manage trigger pull.
I see internet ads for blued/synthetic no sights rifles in the $190-210 but then there's shipping and FFL transfer fees that run the price into the $240-250 range. I'm kicking myself for not bringing home the oddball camo 10-22 @ $200 I saw a year ago.

My favorite 1022 trigger was a mutt trigger group that I built off of extra Volquartsen and Clark Custom Combat parts. I was big into open class 10 Bull competition many years ago. Addicted to the dot. Then stopped. Rifle sat for ever. Then got back into ARA type online shoots at RFC for a bit both factory and unlimited. Was enjoying it until the health issues reared up. Just before the mobility issues hit I was having reset issues with the trigger. Probably from sitting for so long. I need to break it down, clean it. Time sat idle can attract grime from all corners of the universe it seems. Doesn't take much to impair sensitive competition triggers.

Put a BX in mine and a it's a noticeable improvement over the stock unit. Not the most expensive or best I hear but improved it nicely for me.

I've always put Volquartsen parts in my other 10/22's with good results. I plan on just putting a BX trigger in this one. Midway has them for about 65 bucks. Just waiting for them to have free shipping again. If I was building another heavy barreled gun I would probably go with Kidd.
