FS: Clements Custom Guns customized Ruger GP-100. This is a stainless steel, 1/2 lug, fixed sights gun that was customized and converted by David Clements to a 5-shot 44 special, unfluted cylinder. David also performed an action job on the gun and added a green fiber optic front sight. I have had this gun for probably 6 years since David customized it for me in March, 2010. I have shot it no more than 100 rounds, so it is still nice and tight. Bore is great (original barrel was rebored to 44), lock up is Ruger bank vault tight, and timing is spot on. It has the short/carry factory grips and a set of stag inserts.
After completing this gun, David told me that he would no longer offer this option as the work is too extensive with the 5-shot conversion. He still offers GP-100 conversions but to 6-shot variations (41 Spec, 10mm, etc...).
Because of the 5-shot conversion, the unfluted cylinder was built by David, and the timing was adjusted accordingly, hence the labor and cost of the conversion.
