My ATI Strikeforce stock arrived in the mail today and I took a few minutes at lunchtime to put it together.
So far, so good. the Stock fits the action snugly and seems pretty well made. The folding mechanism seems rugged, a little clunky but Ok. The tele-stock is a little bit loose on the not-buffer tube but again, I dont think it will affect function. I like the multiple points for mounting sling points.
The Cheek rest seems functional too. I set it to the highest position and it works well with my scout-mounted red dot.
The gun looks a little funny with a 20rd magazine in it. I guess I will have to break down and get a few more 30rd mags.
I will post pictures later when i get a chance.
Oh yeah, One thing about the cheek rest, I would NOT be able to use the open sights with the cheekrest in the high position. I am looking into getting a machinist relative to help with making new iron sights to co-witness. I will definitely post pics if that ever happens. (I cant be the only person out there who wants a co-witness setup for their mini 14)
Cheers,
S
