Been toying with the idea of an AR10 for a while now. They are way expensive though. Found this:

and this:

Way, way cheaper than buying anything already put together. Yeah, I went ahead and ordered them, and 5 mags to boot. I will let you know how it all turns out.

Great deal!

I had an AR10 several years back, fun gun but just didn't fill any need I had at the time... these days I get my .30 fix with the little JD Jones/AAC round.

Let us know how it goes.

I've built a bunch of AR 15s, some AR 10s. I recently put together an AR 10 for about $350.00 using a combination of cheap parts, parts left over from building other folks' rifles and parts I had "upgrded" from. The big expenses were -

PTAC lower from PSA for $99.00. Stripped DSA receiver from CDNN for $74.00 - which included some sturdy high 30 mm rings. 20" barrel from Numrich Arms for $129.00. Small parts from SOTA Arms and EBay, Magpul rifle stock cost me about $50.00 and the DPMS free float forend tube was $40.00.

Pins, gas tube and block, springs and such I had extra of. Got a free BCG from a friend who upgraded.

Numrich is out of barrels, but they can be found on EBay for about $145.00. When looking for AR parts on EBay it's best to type in "7.62 barrel" or "5.56" barrel. Typing AR anything gets you very little worthwhile.

I'm not an AR lover, so this works fine for me & casual shooting. I traded in some old scopes for a Monarch 3 "sample" off SWFA. And although I keep hearing about how "wiggle doesn't matter" it drives me nuts when it happens. A little marine bedding on the upper and there is zero wiggle, it actually feels like a single unit rather than an upper & lower pinned together.
