I put a Vortex Strikefire on my Ruger ar 556 and it took me a while to tell where I was hitting. When I finally got a group about 1" to the right of the 1" dot I was shooting at, I tried to coincide the flip up and front sight my red dot was close to 1/2" to the right of the iron sights when they were lined up? I wondered, why I couldn't hit anything trying to use them before I got the red dot. I plan to put an adj. low profile gas block along with a freefloat handguard on later any way so, I guess it doesn't really matter that much since I can't see good enough for iron sights anymore but, was just wondering if the fsb being canted could cause the sights to be so far off with the red dot? Thanks!
