...bought one new in 2001 and has been sitting in the safe unfired. Have all the original box and green plastic sleeve, owner's manual, 2 mags, rings (not in original bubble pack), and lock. Not sure how to tell if it is the single extractor...anyone have an idea what the difference looks like?

Thanks...

Price? Hard to say, put it on GunBroker with a $500 starting price and see where it goes in 7 days.

Which bolt?

Remove the magazine, hold the rifle upside down, open the bolt and look at the bolt face. Single extractor on outside edge, dual extractor also has one on the inside edge.

Just look at the bolt face. If it has two claws, its the dual extractor model.

Yours should be if it was made in 2001. I believe the change was made in '96 or so.

Well, the 10/22M wasn't on the market until 1998.

I have one from 1999 (290-102xx) and it's a single extractor model.

Ruger dropped the gun in 2006, but I can't remember what year they introduced the dual extractor bolt.

I sold a NIB one at auction about 3 years ago for $865.00. You never know at auction.

Dennis.
