A friend of my daughter got to shake the hand of his new boss at the Naval Academy graduation ceremony. Needless to say, he was stoked.

I think it would be hard to say if He was "stoked" from the honor of meeting the President
OR I would think more from
realizing His accomplishment of Graduating from Annapolis.

I once had a chance to shake Jimmie Carter's hand but passed as my dad said we were Republicans.

I don't know how President Trump did it but most Presidents only shake the first 100 or so hands of the Academy graduates. When my son and daughter-i- law graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2008 President Bush shook every graduates hand. He made a real impression on that class by doing so.
