What is the correct angle on the trigger bar reset on my SR9? I'm thinking mine sticks out a bit too far. Would bending this in a little change the feel of the trigger pull?

Take a read of this thread, it's a little long do to a lot of off-topics posts but some good info there if you want to experiment.

This is mine, as you can see it is not at 90 degrees. The gun has over 20,000 rounds through it and has never and I mean never had an issue at all.

I changed the angle on mine, but I was having a failing trigger reset issue. Mine was also just like Cheesewhiz picture. I bent mine more to a 90 degree angle. It took care of my Failure to reset on the trigger. My gun was made in July 2010. It is one of the older SR9c's I believe. I would not attempt to do the same as I have done, especially if you are not having any problems. If you do bend it do it at you're own risk and under no advice from anyone.

I'm just trying to get my trigger pull a little smoother. I've put at least 1000 rounds down the barrel with no FTF or FTE's. It's a great gun, but just has a VERY rough trigger. My gun was one of the last 330-XXX guns to leave Ruger. I contacted customer service, gave them serial number, and they said the recall trigger was done at the factory before the pistol left. I've taken the gun apart and polished the usual parts with a dremel, but the grit is still there. Most of the grit can be felt in the first 1/2 of the trigger pull, then it has a little stacking right before the trigger breaks. I've felt other 330-XXX guns that have had the recall done and they feel just fine.

You might want to contact Galloway Precision for their trigger update kit. I've seen a few people with 1.1 SR9's speak very highly of the improvement to the trigger.

Won't help. He knows this is going to be posted before those that write it do.

I agree. OP may have had an older model, but mine is exactly the same. Just as a comparison, anyone who's installed an aftermarket Ghost trigger bar reset could attest, that the angle on the "Ultimate" and/or "Rocket" when new, match the same angle as an unmodified stock reset bar.

I've installed the Ghost Rocket and when you place it over (or under) the stock reset bar, it'll sit flush. The only differences are the holes and the fact that it's smooth and polished, however the dimensions and or angles of bends should all be identical.

For troubleshooting tips, this may help.

But in short...

Problem: Trigger does not reset.
Solution: Connector maybe bent too far inwards.

Problem: Trigger resets with a louder than normal "click" and there is a noticeable increase dragging on the slide when operated.
Solution: Connector maybe bent too far outwards.

Have you removed the mag safety disconnect? Lots of grit caused by that, as well as grit if you haven't cleaned the striker assembly.

just installed the ultimate by ghost on my 9c its smooth and crisp felt the stock was a little too heavy didn't feel smooth enough for my liking ,just personal preference though
