Given all the work that went into it, it's probably a very good price. Too ornate for my tastes, but impressive. The only thing that doesn't fit is the cheap Pachmayr pad; I would think this rifle should have a leather covered pad to go with the quality of the rest of the rifle.

Yeah, that recoil pad ruins all the great work done to the rifle.

I wouldn't have it my safe either. Even if I knew what I was talking about when it comes to engraved high dollar safe queens.

If you are ever in the South end of Duluth you can drop into Puglisi's Gun Emporium. Last time I was there they gave me a tour of the place and got to look at all the guns stored there. IMPRESSIVE!!!!!

You would probably be able to see that No. 1 itself.
