Amazing number from Humane Society

On our local radio stations recently the Humane Society of American has been advertising for support. During their 30 second commercial the spokesman states that "100 Million animals are killed each year by poachers in the U.S.". He gives no source for this information and does not mention how his organization will reduce this number if he gets support for his plea for funds.

Well they consider all hunters poachers. Include those hit by vehicles, killed by domestic animals, all animals slaughtered for food. Yeah , you can get close to that number. :)

Don't confuse the Humane Society of the United States with the real Humane society. They are not the same group, they just have a very similar name to get donations from those that don't know better. They are not the group running your local shelter. They are an extremist group bent on ending all forms of hunting, fishing, and using animals for food. They are linked to many violent environmental wackos.

They just run a campaign and put a Referendum on the ballot to drastically
limit Bear Hunting here in Maine, There goal is to end hunting in the USA,

I'm sure they also include fishing and commercial growers of mammals, reptiles, and fish in their definition of "animals".
If there were 100 million game animals poached I'm certain every states' Fish & Game officers would be very very busy indeed.
